Late-Night Food in Bellaire
Bellaire is a city of homes, and it keeps the hours of one. Bellaire proper lists almost nothing open past midnight except fast food, which is useful to know before you start driving around late in the evening with a hungry passenger. The better late options are a short drive away, and every time below comes from the place's business listing, so confirm before you go.

Inside the city line
Burger King, at 5301 Bellaire Blvd., lists hours that run all day and all night, every day of the week, which makes it the only restaurant in Bellaire proper with round-the-clock hours. Wendy's, at 4544 Bissonnet, lists hours from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. every day.
Domino's Pizza, at 5204 Bissonnet St., posts hours until midnight from Sunday to Thursday and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, which is the simplest answer when the hungry people are at home and do not want to leave it.
Bars and cantinas with kitchens
Little Woodrow's Bellaire, at 4235 Bellaire Blvd., is a backyard bar, and its website offers what it calls Backyard Bites and Brews. The bar is for guests 21 and older, according to its website, and it lists hours until 2 a.m. every night. The website also mentions a patio bar, more than a dozen televisions and yard games across the indoor area, the backyard and a private room.
Bongo's Sports Bar and Cafe, at 6253 Bissonnet St., is a sports bar and cafe that keeps a long day: its listing posts hours from 6 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. every day of the week.
La Tapatia, at 5710 Bellaire Blvd., belongs to a Mexican restaurant, cafe and cantina group that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with tableside guacamole and tacos made with fresh tortillas, according to the group's website. This location lists hours until midnight from Sunday to Thursday and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Tacos and chicken after dark
Taqueria El Sol de Mexico, at 6035 Bissonnet St., is a Mexican restaurant that lists hours from 7 a.m. to midnight most days and until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Taqueria Tepatitlan, at 5545 Southwest Fwy, lists a 7:30 a.m. opening and a 2 a.m. close, stretching to 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Taco Bell, at 5600 Bellaire Blvd., posts hours from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. from Sunday to Thursday and until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Raising Cane's, at 5326 South Rice Avenue, is a chicken restaurant that posts hours until 2 a.m. from Sunday to Thursday and until 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The Bellaire Boulevard corridor
Bellaire Boulevard runs west out of town and, well beyond the city line, becomes the main street of Houston's Asiatown. Four of the places below share one plaza on Bellaire Boulevard, which one of them calls Dun Huang Plaza, and all four list closing times of midnight or later. A group that cannot agree on dinner has four kitchens to choose from without moving the car.
Sinh Sinh, at 9788 Bellaire Blvd., is a Chinese restaurant that lists hours from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. most days and to 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Cafe 101, at 9889 Bellaire Blvd. Ste 101, serves Chinese cuisine with Japanese and Korean influences, more than 100 kinds of flavored teas and fresh fruit drinks, and sake and sake cocktails, according to its website. It lists hours from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day.
Hongdae 33 Korean BBQ, at 9889 Bellaire Blvd., serves all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue, where diners cook the meat at the table, with side dishes called banchan. It lists hours from 11:30 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Midnight Kabob and Seafood, at 9889 Bellaire Blvd. Ste 108, serves barbecue, kabobs and seafood: slow-cooked meats, chicken, steak and lamb kabobs, crawfish, house fried rice, and king oyster mushroom and pork belly skewers. It lists hours from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. and is closed on Wednesdays.
7 Seas Oyster Bar, at 9889 Bellaire Blvd., serves seafood gumbo, half-shell oysters, crispy fried shrimp, catfish fillets and micheladas, along with seafood boils and grilled fish, according to its website. The bar lists hours from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. on weekdays, from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to midnight on Sunday.
How late is late
Seen together, the listings fall into rough tiers. Around midnight is the ordinary late close for Domino's Pizza and La Tapatia. One o'clock or 2 a.m. covers Wendy's, Bongo's Sports Bar and Cafe, Little Woodrow's Bellaire and most of the Bellaire Boulevard kitchens. Friday and Saturday stretch to 3 a.m. at Raising Cane's, the taquerias and Sinh Sinh. Burger King, in a class of its own, lists hours that never close. Midnight Kabob and Seafood is the odd one, opening at 4 p.m. and closing at 1 a.m. with a day off on Wednesday, so it suits people who eat dinner late rather than people who need a snack at midnight.
