Guide
Private Schools Serving Bellaire Families
Bellaire is a city of homes, and families who move here choose a school the way they choose a house, by walking through it. The public schools run through Houston ISD and depend on your address, and the city's Local School Information page lists the campuses. This guide covers the other path: private and parochial schools with Bellaire addresses, sorted by the age of the child.

Tuition is the question every family asks first, and it is the one most likely to go stale. Where a school posts a figure on its own website, we quote it for the year the school names. A posted tuition figure belongs to a single school year, so read each number below as that school's own figure and ask about the next year when you call. Where a school does not post tuition, we leave it out rather than guess.
Early childhood
School For Little Children, 4417 Bellaire Blvd, is a preschool run as a ministry of the United Methodist church at that address. Its site lists classes for early learners from 15 months to two and a half years, for threes and for pre-kindergarten, with two-, three- and five-day options, and it says the school is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. The tuition details sit in a separate class and tuition document that the school links from its registration page, so ask for the current one.
Goldberg Montessori School, 4610 Bellaire Blvd, combines Montessori teaching with Jewish values and says it serves children from infancy through kindergarten. Its site says the school was founded in 1977, calls it the oldest Jewish Montessori early childhood and kindergarten program in the Southwest, and lists teacher-to-child ratios of one to six in toddler classrooms and one to eight in primary classrooms. It says it is licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and is a member of the American Montessori Society. We could not read a posted tuition figure for this school, so call it.
Faith Schools - Bellaire, TX, 4600 Bellaire Blvd, is our file's listing for two programs that operate under the Faith Lutheran banner. Faith Lutheran Day School takes children from 30 months through bridge kindergarten and holds national early-childhood accreditation, according to its site. Faith Lutheran Mother's Day Out takes children from 12 months, once they are walking, through four years old. The site says both programs are licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. It does not post tuition where we could read it.
Elementary
The Post Oak School, 4600 Bissonnet St, describes itself as a Montessori school for children from 14 months through twelfth grade. The Bissonnet Street campus serves the youngest children through grade six: the Young Children's Community from 14 to 36 months, Primary from three to six years, and elementary grades one through six. Older students attend a separate campus in Houston's Museum District. The school says it has operated since 1963.
Post Oak posts its tuition for the 2026-27 school year. A half-day place in the Young Children's Community or in Primary is listed at $22,580, and a full-day place at $28,300. Lower Elementary, grades one through three, is listed at $29,060, and Upper Elementary, grades four through six, at $32,530. Before-care and after-care are priced separately.
Veritas Christian Academy, 7000 Ferris St, calls itself a Christ-centered, classical school for pre-K3 through eighth grade. Its about page says the curriculum draws on Athens, Rome and Jerusalem, and that the school is ecumenical and does not teach denomination-specific doctrine. For 2026-27 the school posts annual tuition of $14,100 for pre-K3 or pre-K4 on five half days, $15,800 for five full days, $17,500 for kindergarten, $19,400 for first through fourth grades and $21,200 for fifth through eighth grades. The school's own pages group the grammar and logic grades a little differently, so ask which band your child falls into.
Middle school
Dietrich Bonhoeffer Academy, 4600 Bellaire Blvd, is a private Christian middle school. Its site stresses small classes, executive-function skills and Christ-centered character, and it was accepting applications for the 2027-28 year and offering parent tours in the fall. It posts tuition for the 2026-27 school year at $17,500.
High school
Episcopal High School, 4650 Bissonnet St, is a co-educational high school founded in 1983 and guided by the Diocese of Texas. Its mission statement calls it an inclusive and joyful Christian community built on four pillars: academics, arts, athletics and religion. The school says it admits students of a wide range of interests and backgrounds without regard to religion, and its site cites an average class size of 14. It posts tuition for 2026-27 of $38,100, with food service and a first-year laptop program listed as separate fees.
Putting the figures side by side
Posted tuition for 2026-27 runs from $14,100 for a five-half-day pre-K place at Veritas to $38,100 at the Episcopal high school, with Post Oak's elementary figures between $29,060 and $32,530 and the middle school at $17,500. Post Oak and Episcopal High School have neighboring addresses on Bissonnet Street, 4600 and 4650, so a family with a child at each could make a single stop.
Before you go
- Ask each school for its current tuition sheet, because every figure here is tied to the 2026-27 year. - Ask the Houston ISD zoning office about your address before you commit to a private school, since the public alternative depends on the exact street. - Call Goldberg Montessori School for tuition, because we could not confirm a posted figure. - Book a tour early at Dietrich Bonhoeffer Academy, since its site lists fall tour dates. - Ask Veritas Christian Academy which tuition band applies to your child's grade.
