Flood risk

Ver en español

Bellaire drains through Cypress Ditch into Brays Bayou, and it has flooded more than once: Allison in 2001 flooded about 1,400 homes, and Harvey in 2017 about 2,000. The city's own flood page says the whole community is susceptible to flooding, not only the homes inside the mapped flood zone. Below: how to check your address, the drainage work under way and where to sign up for alerts.
